Canvas Studio Overview

Canvas Studio is a video solution available to both instructors and students that allows you to:

Record and upload short videos or screen recordings directly within Canvas.
Embed videos into assignments, discussions, and pages.
Allow comments and insert quizzes into videos.
Let students submit video-based assignments.

Alternatives to Canvas Studio

Canvas Studio storage is limited and not a replacement for storing videos in OneDrive.
Shorter videos help students focus, but PowerPoint Export to Video capability and Camtasia can be used to create longer videos.
Padlet is great for assigning video discussions for groups or your entire class.
