Video Feedback with Canvas SpeedGrader
Canvas SpeedGrader lets instructors provide quick, personalized video feedback on student submissions. The feature is built into the grading sidebar once you have opened SpeedGrader from your gradebook. Video feedback works best when:
- Kept short and clear, around two minutes or less.
- Students can benefit from hearing tone or seeing a demonstration.
- You want to deliver encouragement or sensitive critique.
- You’re reviewing presentations, performances, or creative work.
- You’re aiming to build rapport in an online course.
Avoid recording video feedback when written instructions would be clearer, or if your environment makes it difficult to record clear audio.
