Clipchamp Overview

Clipchamp offers a transformative tool for enhancing instructional practices and student engagement. By providing a user-friendly platform for creating and editing videos, Clipchamp enables educators and students to visually communicate ideas, craft multimedia projects, and develop essential digital skills. Features like drag-and-drop editing, stock assets, and AI-driven tools like automatic captions streamline the creative process. This empowers users to move beyond traditional presentations and embrace dynamic storytelling, fostering skills crucial for future success in a digital world.



Clipchamp Availability

  • Clipchamp is available to full-time employees and full-time students. It's available as an application through Cardinal Apps.
  • If you cannot find Clipchamp within Cardinal Apps, contact the UIW Help Desk to request the application.


Clipchamp Considerations

  • For the fastest and smoothest performance, use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome on Windows or macOS. 
  • Ensure your internet browser is fully up-to-date on any operating system.
  • Use Templates: Start with Clipchamp's built-in templates to speed up your creation process and maintain a professional look.
  • If you are experiencing issues with Clipchamp, clear the browser cache, then restart your browser.
  • There are situations where Clipchamp might ask you to relink the video, audio, and image files you used in a project. In this case, don't delete the source files from your computer until your project is exported.
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection for best performance, and to avoid losing your work.
