Clipchamp Availability Clipchamp is available to full-time employees and full-time students. It's available as an application through Cardinal Apps. Clipchamp Considerations For the fastest and smoothest performance, use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome on Windows or macOS. Ensure your internet browser is fully up-to-date on any operating system. Use Templates: Start with Clipchamp's built-in templates to speed up your creation process and maintain a professional look. If you are experiencing issues with Clipchamp, clear the browser cache, then restart your browser. There are situations where Clipchamp might ask you to relink the video, audio, and image files you used in a project. In this case, don't delete the source files from your computer until your project is exported. Ensure you have a stable internet connection for best performance, and to avoid losing your work. Stream is a Microsoft video app that makes creating, sharing, and watching videos seamless at UIW. Whether you’re teaching in Canvas, sending an email in Outlook, or collaborating in MS Teams and SharePoint, Stream offers a robust toolkit. Stream offers 15 minutes to camera or screen record and generates a transcript to easily add captions. You can elevate video engagement with Microsoft Forms interactivity, use viewing analytics for insight into students’ interactions with your video content, and utilize comments or video reactions anywhere along the timeline to identify areas of interest. Stream also alleviates Canvas video storage limitations and improves students' viewing experience when leveraged with the OneDrive app in Canvas courses. Stream Availability Stream is available to everyone in the UIW community with access to Microsoft 365 applications in Cardinal Apps. Stream works for any video file saved in OneDrive or SharePoint. Tech support is provided by the UIW Help Desk. Stream Considerations Stream is a web application and performance is impacted by the browser you use to access it. For the best possible experience, use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. If you encounter unexpected behaviors, clear your browsing history or change browsers. When sharing videos, use the best file-sharing practices to ensure your videos are shared with the right people. If teaching courses in Canvas, embed videos using the OneDrive app in Canvas. The OneDrive app handles sharing permissions for you, making this a one-step option. Students use the OneDrive for Students app to share content or submit work. From website functions not working properly to pages or embeds failing to load and even strange formatting problems, odd behaviors can often be resolved by clearing your browser cache and history. Occasionally, Microsoft features may not work as expected until the company rolls out updates to fix issues. If clearing the browser, switching browsers, and restarting your computer does not solve your problem, report the issue to the UIW Help Desk. Can I livestream an event with Stream? No, live streaming is not currently supported. Consider scheduling a town hall in Microsoft Teams. What video formats work with Stream? Although you can play and upload most audio and video file types with Stream and across Microsoft 365, reference Microsoft’s supported audio and video formats list. How do I share a video with people outside of UIW? You can share videos with anyone for files saved in your personal OneDrive. Video files shared from MS Teams and SharePoint require UIW credentials for viewing unless the owner manages settings for external file sharing.

Upload Videos to Microsoft Stream
Microsoft Stream is a video platform that allows users to create, share, and view content across Microsoft apps. After you've uploaded the video to OneDrive or SharePoint, it's simple to take advantage of the multitude of features built into Stream. When you upload a video to Microsoft Stream, the default storage space is OneDrive: Log in to Cardinal Apps to open Stream. Select Upload. Choose your video file from your device's file picker. Leave to save to OneDrive or "Change location" to select a specific folder or SharePoint site and select Upload to finish. Take advantage of all the Stream features. Need more detail? In-Depth Walkthrough Step 1: Open Stream via Cardinal Apps Log in to Cardinal Apps and open the Stream app, found within the Office 365 Apps tab. Step 2: Start the Upload Process To upload a video, locate and click on the upload button in the upper left corner of the Stream page. Alternatively, you can drag and drop your video file to this area to initiate the upload process. If you opt for the drag-and-drop method, proceed directly to step 4. Note: If you don't have a video to upload, you can select "Screen recording" to record yourself or your screen. Step 3: Select the File to Upload You'll need to select the video file on your computer that you want to upload to Stream. Once you've found the video file, select the Open button in the file window to proceed. Step 4: Choose Where the Video Is Stored Next, select where you'd like to upload your video. The default location is your personal OneDrive, which is only visible and accessible to you. You can choose the "Change location" option to select a different location to upload the video, including other SharePoint sites. When you've selected a location, select Upload to proceed. Step 5: Take Advantage of Stream Features After your upload is complete, you will be taken directly to the video within the Stream video player. Congratulations! Your video has been uploaded and can now be shared and configured with a variety of built-in settings through the 'Video Settings' panel. OneDrive App in Canvas: The Microsoft OneDrive app in Canvas manages permissions for anyone enrolled in the course automatically. This makes it the easiest option for faculty to share audio or video when teaching with Canvas. Create a Sharing Link: Creating a share link for video or audio files is just like sharing any other file. Use the Embed Code: Managing permissions to use the embed code is critical to success with this method.

Embed a Microsoft Stream Video
Note: Stream only supports embed codes for logged-in users internal to UIW. You can use an embed code on web pages outside of UIW, but the embed code will require the viewer to log in and have access to the file. In addition, embedded media in third-party sites may not provide certain features (e.g., commenting, reporting issues). If you are embedding a video for a web page or expect users outside UIW to view, do not use Microsoft Stream to embed your video content. Are you embedding a video into Canvas? The OneDrive app in Canvas allows you to embed your video into your course with a few clicks. You can embed Microsoft Stream videos into other web spaces, though, sharing embed code requires more steps than just sharing a video file with a sharing link. The owner of the video must: Assign the appropriate video permissions. Copy and share the embed code. This guide will help you understand how to embed Stream content. To embed Stream videos: Assign the Appropriate Video Permissions Open the Stream video. Select Share. Select Manage Access. Select the Grant Access icon. Adjust video access options. Enter the email addresses of individuals or groups. Adjust whether invitees can view or edit the video. Uncheck the Notify People box. Select Grant access. Copy and Share the Embed Code Open the Stream video. Select Share. Select Embed Code. Adjust playback options. Select Copy embed code. Need more detail? Assign the Appropriate Video Permissions Step 1 Embed codes only work for users who have permission to access the file. Before using an embed code, select the Share button on the Stream video page to open the drop-down menu, then select Manage Access. Step 2 Only the users and groups listed in the "People" and "Groups" areas of the "Manage Access" menu will be able to view the video via the embed code. This will include users and groups with access to the team, site, or folder the file is stored in, including people who have direct access to the video file. If you need to grant access to additional users or groups: Select the Grant Access icon in the upper right. Use the People tab if you have a few individuals you need to share with. Use the Groups tab if you are using an existing Microsoft group for permissions or have a large number of individuals to share your video. Enter the names of individuals or groups you have access. Choose whether the invited parties will have editing or view-only access. Choose to notify people (not recommended). Select Grant Access. Copy and Share the Embed Code Step 1 If your permissions are set up correctly and you have been granted appropriate access to your piece of content, on the Stream video page, select the Share button to open the drop-down menu, then select Embed code. Step 2 Choose your playback options. For an explanation of these options, see below. Start from: Optionally enter a time code HH:MM:SS where playback will begin. Player size: Allows dynamic resizing in the browser. Autoplay: When this is turned Off, the viewer must click Play to start playback. Responsive: On allows the viewer to control player size when resizing the browser window. Show title: Determines whether the video/audio title shows during playback. Step 3 When you've adjusted your embed options, select Copy embed code. Embed Stream Videos FAQ I would like to embed my video into Canvas. How can I do that? If you are embedding a Stream video in Canvas, we recommend using the integrated OneDrive app in Canvas. Using the OneDrive app will link or embed your Stream video and bring a few conveniences, such as: Videos have no expiration date. Embedded content supports course copy. Videos are not downloadable. If I move my video, do I have to embed it again? That depends. If your video file: Moves, but stays within the same OneDrive or SharePoint site it's located in, you do not have to embed it again. Moves from one OneDrive or SharePoint to another site, you do have to embed the video again. My viewers see a "You don't have access" error. Why? This error is caused by either the viewer not being signed in or lacking permission to access the video. Ensure you have assigned the appropriate permissions to your video file. If you are confident these permissions are correct, advise your viewers to clear their browsing history, then log in to Cardinal Apps and try viewing the video again.
