Updating your Personal Information in Banner
Introduction The following steps will guide you through updating your personal information in the Banner 9: My Profile App. Step 1 Log into Cardinal Apps and Locate the Banner 9: My Profile App. Step 2 Click on the Personal Information Button Personal Details Section: The details in this section require the employee to contact Human Resources to make changes. Name, marital status, Date of Birth etc. Email Section: The Email section displays the user’s email type, address, and status. Your University (UE) type email is not editable. The following steps will describe how to Add, Edit, and Delete a personal email address. Add Email To add an email, follow the steps below. Edit Email To edit your email, follow the steps below. Delete Email To delete your email, follow the steps below. Phone Number Section: This section displays the user’s active phone number types (Office, Fax, Permanent and Mobile) and how to Add, Edit, and Delete a phone number. Address Section: The Address section displays the user’s address type, current or future status, valid from and valid until dates, address lines 1 through 4 if applicable, city, state/province, county, zip/postal code, and country if applicable. Emergency Contact Section: The Emergency Contact section displays the order number, first, middle, and last names, relationship, area code, phone number, phone extension, address lines 1 through 4 if applicable, city, state/province, zip/postal code, and country if applicable. Additional Details Section: The Additional Details section displays the user’s ethnicity and race, veterans' classifications, and disability status. Ellucian Training and Development, On-Demand Subscription Library (ODSL)
The Ellucian On-Demand Subscription Library (ODSL) is an essential training tool for efficient business practice at the University of the Incarnate Word. ODSL is designed in short segments to help you quickly master software such as Banner, Degree Works, and Recruiter, which you use daily. ODLS includes many courses, which contain video lessons and printable resources. This valuable resource will increase Banner usage, provide added functionality, improve knowledge, and take us further on our collaborative journey for modernization. If you don't already have one, you must sign up for an Ellucian Customer Center account to embark on this comprehensive training journey. To sign up for an account, use this link: Account Registration (ellucian.com). Complete the necessary information and submit the request. In 24 to 36 hours, you will receive an email from Ellucian with your username and password. Enterprise Applications will be notified that you have requested the account and will confirm your affiliation with UIW. Access to the training site ensures you have all the necessary tools to succeed. Attached is a PDF document, Ellucian Training Quick Start Guide. Review this guide to familiarize yourself with what can be found on the training site. Ellucian also offers instructor-led courses through the training site. These courses have a cost associated with them. You must go through your supervisor to secure funding for instructor-led courses. How to Access Ellucian’s On‐Demand Subscription Learning If you already have an Ellucian Customer Center account, proceed to step 1. If you do not have an Ellucian Customer Center account, register here. After activation, you will receive access to the Customer Center within one to two business days. Step 1. Log in to the Ellucian Customer Center at https://login.ellucian.com/ With your UIW email address and the password assigned by Ellucian, If you have problems logging in or if you need a password reset, please get in touch with csenablement@ellucian.com Step 2. Under the Resources tab, choose Knowledge > Training. You will be automatically taken to the training site. You will be taken to The Hess Consortium, which UIW is affiliated with. Step 3. You will click the Training by Product button to access the On-Demand Library. Step 4. Select a path like Banner or CRM to see the available training modules. Note: UIW does not have the Colleague software.

Ellucian Training Quick Start Guide
The Ellucian Training site is available to Ellucian customers and authorized Partner organizations, per the terms outlined in your organization's licensing, support, or partnership agreement(s) with Ellucian. An active Ellucian Customer Center (or Ellucian Partner Community) user account is required to sign into the site. If you do not have an account, register for one at https://clientapps.ellucian.com/signup. If you have questions about your registration, or if you are having problems signing in, contact csenablement@ellucian.com. General Site Navigation Main Menu Use the main site menu , located in the upper left corner of the page, to quickly navigate the site’s primary pages. The menu includes quick links to the full site catalog, instructor-led courses, on-demand courses, and your personal training within the site. The menu also includes quick links to on-demand training catalogs focused on specific business functions within your institution, such as Human Resources, Financial Aid, and Recruitment & Admissions. Home Page The home page includes a variety of information and can be used as your launch point into finding, purchasing, and taking training within the site. Use the Attend a Virtual Course to browse our catalog of available instructor-led courses with sessions that are open for enrollment. Use the Take On-Demand Training to browse our catalog of on-demand training. The catalog includes courses that are included Your personal training dashboard is located at the bottom of the Home page and displays courses that you have (1) enrolled in but not yet started; (2) started and are in-progress; and (3) completed. Note that these courses can also be found using the My Courses and Learning Plans item on the main menu. Search for Training Site header Search bar Use the search bar in the site header to perform a broad site-wide search based on a keyword, term, title, or partial title. Initial results are displayed as you type. View all results to view the complete list of items that match your search term. Use the tabs at the top of the list to focus in on specific types of items. The Course Content tab lists the lessons and materials that match your search term and are contained in courses. Selecting these will take you to the course and you can enroll or purchase it. The Course Catalog tab lists the courses that match your search term. Selecting these will take you to the course and you can enroll or purchase it. Use the Filters to further refine your search results based on attributes such as course type, pricing, primary audience, and level. Secondary search bars Many pages contain a secondary search bar. This limits the scope of the search to the content that is found on the page. Use Categories to narrow the results by Ellucian product. Purchase Training The Ellucian Training site uses a shopping cart/checkout feature, like most other e-commerce websites. You must be signed in to complete the checkout process. Different types of training are available for purchase, including enrollment in instructor-led courses (virtual courses), On-Demand Training subscriptions, and on-demand (e-Learning) courses. To purchase training, add it to your shopping cart. You can add multiple items to your cart. To complete your purchase, use the Checkout function in the shopping cart. Be sure to FILL OUT and SAVE the required billing information and READ and AGREE TO the Terms and Conditions before you confirm your order. Currently, Ellucian does not accept up-front payment by credit card. Your institution will be invoiced for your purchase based on the billing contact information that we have on record for your institution. My Training Activity The My Activities page displays a wide range of dashboard style information about your personal activity within the site. Access this page from Helpful Links on the home page, or through the My Profile option in the main menu. Use the Courses option display your “transcript”. This will include only activity that has occurred in this site. Please contact training@ellucian.com to request a complete transcript that includes activity prior to October 2020. On-Demand Training Subscription Your Subscription Details If you have an active On-Demand Training subscription license, then you will see this reflected in the site header under Subscriptions: Active. Click this indicator to view additional information, including your subscription expiration date. Identifying Subscription Courses On-Demand courses that are included in your subscription are labeled with Purchased. You can enroll and take them immediately.
